Functional Description A 2-stage separator is typically mounted on a platform raised above a dry concrete platform. The wet fiber that slides off the grate is pressed between an 8-foot wide rubber roller and a stainless steel mesh roller, resulting in residual liquid. As a result, the concentration of dry matter in the residue can reach 18%. The liquid that has passed through the grate is discharged under the influence of gravity through an 8-inch (203 mm) hole, and the fiber is stacked in a stack on the concrete floor below.
