Gate locks are used to unload bulk and granular products from unloaders, pneumatic units, filters, cyclones, and other machines in which the pressure may differ from atmospheric. A shutter is necessary to prevent atmospheric air from entering the unloaders, as well as the escape of gases during unloading of dust collecting devices. Gate locks are used in production lines in which pneumatic and mechanical feeds are used to transport materials.
