Varieties of Viskase casings

The modern products of the brand include cellulose and polyamide casings of different shapes and sizes. For the production of the first ones – the regenerated cellulose is used. These casings are sold in the form of corrugated reels. They are characterized by resistance to vapor and smoke penetration. Fibrous casing is one of the varieties of the product. To make it a cellulose layer is applied on the special paper base .

Fibrous casings of Viskase has the following properties:

  • Uniform diameter over the entire length;
  • bacteriological protection of the content;
  • increased mechanical strength;
  • resistance to vapor penetration;
  • resistance to smoke penetration.

 

The caliber of fibrous casings is 36-100 mm. Two versions are possible in the production process. One provides rapid removal of the casing. The other one provides its cohesion with the product. This variant allows you to prevent the fat swellings on the surface of some types of sausages and hams.

The polyamide casing has high barrier properties. Therefore, it is used for products, storage of which prevents penetration of moisture and oxygen.
