The rake is intended for raking the developed grass from swaths into rolls, tedding it in swaths and wrapping rolls. The rake is used for harvesting seeded grasses, as well as grass of natural hayfields with yields of more than 10 kg / ha on the plains with a moisture content of 25 to 80%. The rake is aggregated with wheel tractors of class 0.6-1.4 i.e. the working bodies (impellers) are driven their adhesion to the soil. When the rake moves along the swath, the impellers rotate due to adhesion to the soil. Due to the arrangement of the finger wheels at an angle to the direction of movement and their rotation, the sunken mass captured by the first wheel moves by the amount of capture of this wheel. Thus, after the passage of all wheels, a roll is formed. The tedding process is carried out by changing the position of the sections of the grails, when each wheel, moving and fluffing up the mass, does not feed it into the zone of action of the next wheel. When the section moves along the roll, the latter moves to the side and turns around.
