The corrugating machine ASM 3U is designed for continuous automatic corrugation of artificial sausage casings. The machine works with a shell of Ø 35-120mm and the machine is continuous. Maintenance consists of replacing the rolls with the sheath and selecting the finished columns. The drive is provided by a combination of electrical and pneumatic elements. The roll with the sheath is mechanically attached to the unwinding equipment, where a sensor is installed, at the signal of which the machine will be stopped if the sheath is completely unwound from the roll. The shell through moisturizing equipment and measuring rollers enters the inlet mandrel of the vacuum chamber, where, under the influence of vacuum, it is inflated and enters the corrugation head of the petal type. From the head, the shell enters one of the three mandrels to the cutting mechanism and, when a predetermined length is reached, is cut off. Then, by gradually turning the turret with the mandrels, the sheath enters the pressing mechanism, where it is pressed. After that, the column is packed in a grid, the grid is closed with a clipper, after which the finished column falls onto the receiving table. When a malfunction occurs, the machine automatically stops, the programmable PLC (LENZE) determines the element that caused the accident.
