The main functional part of UPT installations is a tubular drum, into which bags with curd cala are loaded. When the drum rotates, the cottage cheese is pressed. Cottage cheese is cooled using a liquid coolant (“ice” water), which circulates in the tubular circuit of a rotating drum. The direction of rotation of the drum is reversed by a magnetic reverser. Detachable, during the pressing of cottage cheese, whey is collected in a removable bath located under the tubular drum. The bottom of the bath for collecting serum has an angle of inclination towards the drain hole and is equipped with an angular nozzle with a coupling connection.
