A group packaging machine is designed to collect packages into groups for subsequent packaging in a box or shrink film. The machine consists of a conveyor for preliminary assembly of packages, a mobile shaper unit, a whatnot, a lift elevator and a control panel. Packages from the “briquette” forming machine fall onto the conveyor of preliminary assembly of packages, where 3-5 packets are hardly grouped. The shaper node shifts this group of packets to a bookcase, which in turn rises one step up. The shaper unit repeats the operation, and so from 2 to 4 rows. After that, the former unit shifts simultaneously all 2-4 rows of packets into the elevator and the cycle repeats again. The elevator lifts the formed group of packages for further packaging in shrink film or in a box.
